Dr. Jennifer Sellers is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor based in Texas. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical and Forensic Psychology from Walden University, where her research and training focused on trauma, behavioral health in justice-involved populations, and applied forensic assessment.
Dr. Sellers completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship with the Dallas County Juvenile Department (DCJD), providing comprehensive psychological services within secure correctional settings. There, she conducted individual and group therapy, psychological evaluations, crisis interventions, and staff training focused on trauma-informed care and behavioral stabilization. Following internship, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD), specializing in forensic and correctional psychology, deepening her expertise in assessment, program development, and systems-level consultation for justice-involved youth and staff wellness.
Before pursuing psychology, Dr. Sellers served in law enforcement, an experience that continues to inform her work with first responders, military personnel, and public safety professionals. Her background bridges the worlds of mental health and public service, allowing her to approach trauma, identity, and resilience with a practical, mission-driven understanding.
Today, Dr. Sellers’ practice integrates clinical, forensic, and trauma-informed frameworks to help individuals and professionals navigate the intersection of high-stress environments, identity transitions, and emotional healing. Her clinical specialties include complex trauma, posttraumatic stress, personality dynamics, crisis response, and performance resilience. She also provides supervision for LPC-Associates, program consultation, and professional trainings on trauma and occupational wellness.
Dr. Sellers believes in fostering insight, compassion, and empowerment—helping clients rebuild connection, restore purpose, and cultivate resilience through reflective growth.
